Volunteer Coaching Procedures
All coaches and board members directly interfacing with players, are required to complete criminal background checks and receive state clearance in accordance with PA Law BEFORE they participate in ANY activity related to the MTYFA program. Below are convenient links to obtain:
• Pennsylvania Criminal History Records Check (Needed every 3 years)
• Mandated and Permissive Reporting in Pennsylvania Online Training (Needed every 5 years)
• National Alliance for Youth Sports - nays.org (renewed every year or every two years, depending on what your purchased)
All required document PDFs must be turned into the MTYFA Secretary before any practice is held. It is recommended that you save your clearances, as they can be used for other organizations. Please email to all clearances to mtyfasecretary@gmail.com.
